31 Items To Pack in Your Financial Emergency Kit

Plenty of people, especially those who live in fire-prone, tornado or hurricane-vulnerable areas, have emergency kits and “bug-out” bags: supplies to keep them going if they need to leave home in a hurry. But in addition to items that can help you physically in an emergency, it’s a good idea to put together a “financial emergency kit”: information and documents that could help keep your life “running” and get you access to help you need even if you’re away from home for an extended period of time. https://clark.com/family-lifestyle/financial-emergency-kit/?utm_source=Clark.com&utm_campaign=140cac44e2-Clark_Daily_Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_afa92deb83-140cac44e2-72870477

“When I die file” -Why You need one

I came across a great article by TIME the other day about preparing for when you pass. This topic can make some people uncomfortable but it is a conversation worth having.

In the article TIME shared the story of 81 year old Ruth Byock, and her passing. Living without Ruth was hard on her family but to their surprise she had created a “When I Die” file to help her family during this hard time.

3 Holiday Organizing Tips

Getting organized this time of year can be a challenge. With the holidays, travel and people in and out of your home, it can be hard to keep up with it all during the most wonderful time of year.

  1. Make sure to have good storage for your holiday decor. When you bring it out, swop any other decor you are not using and store it in the holiday bins. That way when it is time to take it all down you can just swop things out.
  2. Organize your pantry and make sure all holiday cooking spices and ingredients are easy to get to when cooking holidays meals or treats
  3. Make sure you clean up directly after having guests. I know this might be the last thing you want to do after hosting but cleaning up right away makes sure it goest done. This will help keep your house in order this holiday season.

These three tips are simple but guaranteed to have a positive impact on your organization and over all stress level and order in your home this holiday season.
